This is a different request, but as a misc (maybe even junk, depending on one point of view) collector, I'm looking to get a Texas vehicle license plate. Just one of those thigns I gather after hunting in different places. When I hunted in Texas a couple years ago really didn't have time to find a in good shape and expired (or from a wrecked car/truck/junkyard) Texas license plate to incoprate as part of my trophy room decorations.

So if any Texas hunters could maybe help me get on, I'd be appreciative. I am more than willing to pay any shipping/mailing costs incurred with sending out here to me in Washington state.

I might be able to help ya out.. I have a couple of spare plates laying around the house here from my truck I sold.. they happen to be the TX Parks and Wildlife plates with a picture of a Horny toad on them.. Pretty cool plates if you have'nt seen them.. plus, the money I spent on them when I had my truck registered went on them went to a good cause...then I bought a truck here in AZ and I just kept the plates off of the old truck when I traded it in..

If you do want one, just be a bit patient with me for the next couple of weeks.. I am the process of moving from AZ to MT and am actually leaving Az for good tonight and sarting my drive.... I'll just be busy with the LONG drive, starting my new job, unpacking, etc for the next couple of weeks.. But I'd gladly send ya one of these if ya want when I settle in!! I found a pretty good license plate for you. Let me know your mailing information and I will get it in the mail to you. The plate I have is a regular plate, the plate Scottyboy has is a special edition we can order from the State and is nice looking.

That's too funny that you collect license plates. When I was in S Africa I asked the outfitter if there was a place where I could get an old license plate. Thought it would look good in starting a trophy room. He looked at me like I was nuts! I was kind of hoping to find one thru ebay or some place like it. If the other sources on here don't pan out I can get you a TX plate. The one with the horned frog is a pretty cool plate and hopefully Scottyboy will come thru for ya.

Yeah, I have quite a few misc plates and all the US states from vehicles I have owned over the years (all these hang in the garage on the wall).

My "hunting" license plates if you will are out in my trophy room, mostly duplicates of US plates from states ive hunted in, but I also have a few from foreign countries when I was on the ball enought to keep a look out for them while hunting overseas. I did get a plate from the Eastern Cape of South Africa when I was there in 2003, pretty cool looking with the elephant on it.

Before heading over to Nam and Zim in 2008 I plan on emailing both outfitters Im hunting with and pop(ask) the question about helping me get plates from those countries too.

I have a friend with a car wash that I watch for him when he goes out of town. Today while emptying the trash,there was a Texas license plate in good condition. I thought about this thread and rescued the plate. If need still exists---sounds like it might be already taken care of,send me a PM with mailing instructions.
