Have any of you guys used the 30 cal. 150gr Barnes TSX, on game bigger than deer? I was just thinking I could push these around 3,000 fps from my 30-06. Just wondering if you guys have seen this load in the field on Bigger game.

Thanks, Mark G

I personally have not, but I know another guy that has. I use the 168 TSX and the 180 myself and not as worried about speed: usually about 2700fps +/- 75 or so. After my friend shot his elk with his .06 and the 150 TSX it dropped with the shoulder shot (160 yards). I think he used IMR4350. No doubt the 150 is an excellent choice but I am bias towards the 168 and 180 and just knowing the trajectory.

The 168 over 55.0 H4350 is a tough pill and very accurate in my rifle. The 180 over 53.0 H4350 and 59.0 Re22 is the same.
