I have had problems on two rifles where the screw holes for the bases were not square and the scopes ran out of adjustment. That is one area where the leupold system can rectify the problem of a poorly finished receiver. That being said I have Talley rings on 12 rifles. Shayne

Quote: I had the very same problem on a Weatherby SBGM .270 Win. The Talley/Weatherby mount system would not allow any scope to collimate. I tried two different sets of Talleys. I switched to Leupold mounts and the problem was fixed. In addition, the ring screws are rather soft and the torx slots strip out rather easily. Also, they do not offer a silver finish mount to match a stainless gun and silver scope. Their matte is also too glossy to properly match a matte leuopld scope, for instance. Plus, their ring heights are too high: medium is high, and low is medium. Finally, as to their customer service, I emailed them last week concerning the stripped-out ring screws, and have received NO response. Not what I would call great service by any stretch of the imagination. They are solid, for sure. But so is Leupold, at half the price, plus their customer service truly is excellent.
