I just ran across a four-page description of bison hunts offered in 2001 on Ted Turner's Flying D Ranch in Montana, the guide service being Cowboy Heaven Consulting LLC out of Bozeman. Prices as follows: Trophy bull, $4,000, most scoring 65-75 SCI points. Cow bison, two options, $850 and $750. Yearling bison, heifer $750, bull, $950. Management bull, $1,700-$2,500. All were one-day hunts with guide, in-field processing and loaded into your truck. Those days and prices are long gone! There is hope, even when your brain tells you there isn’t. – John Green, author

Yup. Cost on the Flying D is now $10,000 and only old bulls are hunted. Mike Wilderness is my cathedral, and hunting is my prayer.

It is a great hunting on that ranch and wildlife viewing is awesome Not a high fence operation Nothing like standing over your own kill
