No doe tags this year though.

I'm really bummed. Didn't draw a tag in unit 42. Not even the scam of paying double for it helped.

Ugh- third year of applying antelope tags in WY and I still haven't drawn one, yet! I'll keep trying, but I think I'll forgo applying for the "special" tags in the future!

You can use anything that you like.

LOL, Thanks Darin

I have a good friend who lets us hunt and camp on his cattle ranch. My brother and a couple of good friends have been hunting there for about 10 years.

Too bad you don't live between Wyoming and Southern California, I'd drop some off on the way back. Smiler

Have a great hunt! If I weren't going to Zambia I'd be going to Wyoming! That is where my heart lives!

Your hunt sounds perfect!!!!!

cooperJD,

You can use a bow during rifle season but you do still have to wear the florescent orange. Unless the regs have changed WY allows orange camo to count for the requirement.

Congrat's to all that drew!

Pretty sad that I have not applied in about 6-7 years and the Wyoming border is 10 minutes from my house.

I have max points for deer and elk; and I believe 6 or 7 points for antelope. I am going to start applying next year!!

We're going to be way down at the very south end of the area near Medicine Bow. We'll try to leave at least one buck for you.

I usually split time between the south end and the basin. Sometimes the basin just has too many hunters. Good luck on your hunt!

My hunting partner is on oxygen (Dad), and turned in his bison tag for the refuge. I didn't even apply, as I had no chance for the area he wanted to hunt.

I am going to buy points.

I think I am still going in October even if not to hunt. I might go shoot a couple sage grouse, and take the kids to Jellystone beyond visiting my parents in Cheyenne.

Depends on if the wife and baby are up to it or not. The big kids want to go, so who knows.

If he's the Kiwi I think he is, he lives across the big pond and was also in Wyoming last year for a hunt.

Good for you. I'm a Yank that travels to New Zealand all the time. I know a lot of shooters/hunters around Auckland.
