Guys I'm hoping to come home on leave about the second week in October after a long time overseas. Would like to do a pronghorn hunt somewhere and am looking for advice regarding guides/states, etc. Will be coming from the east coast. What would a hunt cost me? All info/advice appreciated. Thanks,

Alan

Wyoming might be do able. But you will have to go through the draw. Second drawing is coming up for left over tags. The only areas usually availible are in areas with lots of private land, but permission can be had. Go to the WY G F web site and do some research.

I've got a great outfit in northeastern Montana. No draw, good hunt, guided with excellent meals and accommodation. Drop me an email for more information.

I personally took a nice buck there last October.

Kudu56,

Can a non-resident put in for the second draw w/o being in the first limited quota draw?

Thanks,

I believe you can apply for the second draw without being in the first one. Get a hold of Wyoming Game and Fish Dept. and they will send you a list of area's that have extra permits for the second drawing.
Good-Luck

Folks,

There is no requirement to have been in the
first draw to participate in the second. This makes it quite convenient if you were not able to commit for a hunt by the first application deadline in March. Area 23 will have a lot of leftover tags but like most areas with leftovers access will be limited since it is mostly all private land.
