+1

Several years ago I sent a rifle to the "authorized" service center for the recall fix. When I got the rifle back the trigger pull was worse then that of a stiff double action revolver trigger.

I normally replace the factory triggers with Timney's anyway.

Just so everyone knows the deal on this recall. It is for the newer trigger that replaced the Walker fire control trigger that was designed back in the 40s and involved in all the wrongful death suits against Remington over the last few decades until they replaced them with the trigger now involved in this recall!

Remington and GM, remind me of the old saying, Buy the best you can afford and you drive everyone else to do better. Brand loyalty leads to mediocre choices.

In the house right now I have savage, win, rem ruger, 98s, 03s, marlins, rossi, TCs and others I am not thinking about right now.

They all can make a very good useable firearm and lemons. Very few I haven't done something with triggers, stock work etc..

That may be true, but was any of the work you did due to shoddy, piss poor, engineering that caused safety problems when using the products like the two different Remington trigger issues we're talking about?
