Can anyone reccommend a quality hunt for black bear over bait in Maine? I have gone on 6-day hunts the last two years with the same outfitter and have not seen a bear. Time to try something new. thanks

Tom Aasbo, Oxbow Lodge, Oxbow, Maine would be my choice. I've never hunted bear with him but have had several great hunts for deer and moose with them. Beautiful facilities and top notch local guides. I know they take lots of bears each fall.

Contact my friend, Gloria Hewey, at her place in The Forks: www.enchantedoutfitters.com or by phone at 800-507-2238 or email at enchantedoutfitters@prexar.com

Last year's biggest bear was a sow that dressed out at 320lbs. They offer bait and hounds. Tell her I sent you.
