I was able to get the permit to hunt the first legally hunted mt.lion in modern Nebraska history. The money went to the state for mt.lion reserch. The mt .lion I took weighed about 158 and will make Boone and Crockett after the drying period. If someone who is better than me goes to the omaha world hearld web sight they can post the article. I like the guy at dsc have had the crazys ,peta and all the other nuts after me but I AM A HUNTER and dont care. If I can remember how I will post a picture next week.

Congrats Tom, on my last trip out to the pine ridge area I meet the gentleman who is conducting the hunt for the kid who won the second permit. Last year during the firearm season we saw a Tom walk straight through the Chadron state park campground while we were staying there. Just think 4 years ago the Nebraska games and park denied having any mountain lions in Nebraska.

Ps if you need help loading pictures you can send it to me.

Thanks!

Brian Clark

That Legislator is right up there with the rest of the DBs that have no idea about proper game management and always cry doom when hardly any will be taken unless dogs are allowed. They seem to place animals on the same level and sometimes it even seems above humans!

First off, congrats on the cat. As far as the whack job:

“ I think Mr. Chambers is one of the most brilliant men I have ever associated with. The only problem you got is that he hates white people. ”
—Terry Carpenter[6]

Evidently he hates hunters too. Just another misguided nutsack with a loud voice.

Congrats on a fine tom.
I haven't been to the pine ridge in 5-6 years. Its a great place. I talked to a guy that was spraying some of the pastures. I was telling him about some droppings that I thought were elk. He said they were bighorns and had seen them earlier in the summer. He mentioned he had seen a Mt. lion for the first time that summer.

I have walked in the foot prints of the elephant, listened to lion roar and met the buffalo on his turf. I shall never be the same.

Here is the picture of Tom's mountain lion in Nebraska. That's a stud of a cat for anywhere even better for Nebraska. Congrats again Tom.

Thanks!

Very nice Cat. Well done.

The Hunt goes on forever, the season never ends.

I didn't learn this by reading about it or seeing it on TV. I learned it by doing it.

Only thing worse than a Politician like Chambers is the people who keep him in office. If ignorance is bliss, the US has a lot of happy politicians!
