I didn't see the eagle catch the coyote, but I did see it eating a fresh kill in Wyoming this year. I never would have thought they would catch and kill one. Cool photo.

I have seen that PIC before, it must have been taken in Yellowstone, but it is still awesome. Golden eagles kill antelope all the time out here, they just keep hitting them till they are so weak they can't run any more.

Fake as the pic may be, Ive seen some Golden Eagles that were freaking huge! Fascinating birds.

That's a red fox, not a coyote. And I've had foxes and bobcats killed and partially eaten in traps by golden iggles.

Thats not a haast Eagle is it. They used to carry away the locals here until hori learned to have haast omlettes.

I will give you a yell in a week or so as I'm heading over to the coast on monday for seven days. I will be talking to Leigh about the feral cattle problem there and will let you know about the outcome and our prefered solution.

Whats the use of being at the top of the food chain and not exercising your options.,
