I was having a conversation last night, when the topic of the Remington 788 came up, and we were trying to remember what the original chamberings were, before the rifle was chambered for the rimless rounds like .308, .222, .243, etc. We could recall .30-30 and .44 magnum, but there was at least one other; someone said .35 Remington, but the general recollection was that all cartridges were rimmed, and that the other offering might have been a varmint caliber, although no one could remember which one (although no one believed that it was .22 Hornet). Anyone out there able to refresh our memories? Thanks. | ||
