I hate to inform you Pete but Blue O Cult are staunch anti-gun & anti-hunt, for that I will not allow their music anywhere near me.

SXR6, you are most likely right. Almost without exception "artist types" are commie pinkos.

So many songs that are held up by John Q Public, as pro-America patriotic songs are in fact anti-America pro-socialism drivel. This Land is Your Land and Born in the USA are the two that come most readily to mind.

Ironically, I don't think Woody Guthrie appreciates his song used in this way any more than you do. As for "Born in the U.S.A., Ronald Reagan was the most high profile "John Q. Public" to make this rather embarrassing mistake at a public speaking engagement during his presidency.

I'm just interested that U-2 wasn't mentioned. They have been around forever and for the most part the original band. Millions buy their records--just not shooters, I guess. I would vote them as the most successful, and one of the least talented. No difficult guitar riffs, Bono sings like someone took a rasp file to his vocal chords. And what's with that knit cap?
Must be doing something right.

Beatles/Boston/Moody Blues/Zappa--If you're talking musical genius.
Led Zeplin/Van Halen--Guitar skills
Eagles/Jackson Brown--Best mix of electric/accoustic guitar
Hendrix--All time way ahead of his time guitar champ.
Clapton--In a class buy himself. By his own admission he is not one of the top guitar players for technical skills.
Ron Woods (Stones)--He just rocks. I love that Gibson SJ-200 he uses between electric riffs!

Typically, I view "Best" and "Rock Band" as mutually exclusive!

However, I've always liked The Moody Blues, The Band, The Beatles, America, ELO, Yes... nothing much past 79'.

Ted Nugent... no chance.

U2... have a friend in Dublin who knew them when they used to play for the church worship services... gained the world and forfeited their souls?!

I go for Jazz and Classical these days.

The Beach Boys

Best concert I ever went to was a free one on the 4th of July in Santa Barbara 20 years ago. It was on the beach and girls in bikinis were everywhere. The Beach Boys gave a free concert there because Interior Secratary James Watt replaced them with Wayne Newton for the 4th of July concert on the Capitol Mall in D.C.

I'm not a rock man .Country 's for me but if I had to pick it would have to be Ted Nugent because he does more for our interests than all the others put together.

Any gun owner/hunter who did not list
Ted Nugent should be ashamed.

The denial ridden drug induced drivel of
most of the bands listed here makes me
wanna puke.
