Pete, you want a welded stand, not one put together with some kind of fasteners like I see in your picture. Fasteners make for a noisey stand. I've been using an API for about 10 yrs and still haven't seen any I like better. It was recommended by a sniper on a state SWAT team who did product testing to find the most suitable stand for sitting quietly in for days. He recommended it for comfort, strength and silence. It's a little heavier than some aluminum stands because of the steel chain that wraps around the tree, but I feel it's worth it. I've probably killed 30 deer from mine.
