We all make mistakes and wish we could do it over.Which would you want to do over?

Mine is Choice of Butchers(Meat Cutters). The old guy we always took our game too retired and his replacement sucked!!!!Two Elk screwed up big time.No beef suit in the hamburger and the cuts were something I could have done and wrapped like an amatuer.I now cut up my own.

What's yours?

Jayco.

I took a rifle to a smith to be pillar- and glass-bedded, along with free-floating the barrel. Apparently, we should have discussed what "free-floating" means to me, because when I got it back there was 1/8" - 1/4" clearance around the entire length of the barrel. A bit extreme, to say the least, and looked somewhat "unique." I almost cried.

However, it shoots great; and when cleaning it I can wipe the barrel exterior all the way around and all the way to the chamber, which ensures there's no moisture, dirt, etc. down there.

Still, you can't put wood back in a barrel channel once it's gone. So, the moral of the story is this: Be specific and don't be shy when ordering work. Never forget that you're the one that has to take it home and live with it when it's all said and done.
