"Bar E Ranch is a bowhunting-only ranch located 45 miles west of San Antonio, near Hondo, Texas, where the south Texas Brush Country meets the Hill Country." Thus reads the add. Looking for a place to hunt an Axis Deer and maybe a hog or goat. Anybody have experience with the Bar E?

This place is pretty far South and I'd prefer to be further North, but I would rather hunt where hogs are not additional $$ or are included. Archery or gun is o.k., price is a consideration.

You might try the Y-O ranch near Kerrville, just North of San Antonio.

You might try the West Kerr Ranch. It is 11,500 acres and borders the YO; they have some great summer specials going on. That is where I got the aoudad that is posted in another thread. Go to their web site and click on the "Specials" tab.
