It looks like the right medicine in my 300 WSM for Alaskan Moose. I haven't found it yet in the Dallas area.

Used them in a .300 Wby. last year in MT. Dropped this buck in his tracks and they grouped really well.

Honestly I can't say they are worth the extra money over the TSX but they worked fine.

Haven't used them on game but they shoot very well out of my 338-378 Wby and my '06. Federal Premium loads for the '06 but the boomer was hand loads. Very tight groups from both rifles.

The MRX is a more expensive version of the TTSX.

When first introduced they were the only available Barnes with the Polymer Tip and they expanded more reliably.

The MRX has a sintered tungsten back core that serves to shorten the bullet.

The MRX bullets cost as much for 20-bullets as TTSX's cost for 50, about $30 (that's reloader bullets, not ammo)

The day I use a projectile that is well over a buck each, just call the wagon. Not looking for flames here but the inflated value coupled with the willingness to pay for so called permium bullets is insane! VIVA the Corelokt!!

While I won't pay $1 each for bullets I will pay UP TO that ammount and in that regard MRX's clearly are too damn expensive....

That is until several boxes of 7mm 140gr MRX's turned up in the bargain cave of my local Cabela's marked at $10 each...
(Bullets, not ammo)

Would I pay full price for them?Hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

About as much chance as our "dear leader" in washington is to go on national television and demand that everyone call him "snowball" from now on.

But for 70% off? aka $0.50 each?

Yeah, I took all three boxes.

The price on these bullets was the only reason that I chose not to try them.

My TSX, and TTSX bullets shot supper tight and cost way less. I found that the TSX bullets did massive internal damage on the 13 big game animals I have shot with them. But the blood trail on most of them left a lot to be desired. Albeit that not one animal ran more than 60 yards before going down, nose in the dirt.

I shot my last Mountain Goat with Nosler Accubonds. They did an awesome job! And they shoot very well.

One of my A&P’s shot a huge bodied Elk here in AZ this week with a .308 Win using a single 165 grain NAB. He hit it in the between the front shoulder and the brisket. The bullet exited just in front of the guts out the aft opposite ribs. I think he shot it at around 140 yards. The bull went about 30-40 yards and was dead. How much more performance do you need?

Premium bullets are an important part of a hunter’s kit, but more $ does not always mean more performance.

Kensco

Try Rays Hardware 214 747 7616.

If they do not have them, They can get them.

My wife shot 2 kudu in Zim with them in her 308.

One shot was at a kudu facing us at @ 100 yards. The recovered bullet was perfect.

I shot a bushbuck at about 90 yards with that bullet in her 308 and it fell to the shot.

I'm going to stop by Bass Pro and Ray's today. McClelland and Bullet Trap came up empty; same with Cabela's in Buda last week.

Thanks

Glad you dound some.

Let me add that in every rifle that I have shot Federal's factory 308 150gr Triple Shock, and Federals Factory 180 MRX, both have beed very accurate.

I am not an X bullet freek, but maybe I should be... I have shot some game with them and so has the wife, they always performed perfectly for us.

Noxt time I shoot a pig or a deer with a 308, I am going to "make" myself use the Fedral factory 150gr load. knife
