loving the wild cattle, I find very interesting the history of these animals that seems are in the wild from hundreds of years in the Hawaii islands. Has anyone had the chance to hunt or meet them? mario

There are some Hawaiians who are AR members, I bet they can answer your question. ~Ann

Contact Patrick Fisher of Hawaii Safaris. I believe he does these hunts. I have not hunted the bulls but I have hunted with Hawaii safaris and they are a very good outfit. DRSS

Search "Hilo bull" or Hilo, Hawaii as there is a great story on here from March 2008 about a bull hunt in Hawaii.

I hunted with Pat Fisher and his outfit just a couple of weeks ago. During the day, we discussed the bulls. Apparently, they are going thru a drought at the moment and it is starting to have an impact on the herds. Since these cattle are 100% free range, it's survival of the fittest. It would be an intersting hunt for sure. Hunting wild cattle in the rainforests of Hawaii would be a blast!! Graybird "Make no mistake, it's not revenge he's after ... it's the reckoning."

Mario, I didn't see any cattle, but we weren't in the right location. I hunted Black Hawaiian Sheep over near Kona and hunted pigs over near Hilo. Although we were near Hilo, we weren't high enough where the cattle are located. We were lower hunting some old sugar cane fields for the pigs.
