Bill of Rights celebration in Denver. This was the guy
who let the police know he'd be carrying openly in
exercise of his 2nd Amendment unalienable rights. He
said he was gonna do it, he did it, and they arrested
him. This link has pics of the demo and the arrest,
plus other stuff on the site. This should be
interesting.

He certainly does have "big 'uns". But, if what he did was against the law, he has committed a crime with a firearm. His actions could have "unintended consequences" for him. His actions, while probably a misdemeanor, could be raised to the level of a felony, due to the firearm. Bye bye his right to own any firearms, unless he can get the court to restore his civil rights. He could also face a mandatory 5 year prison term because of the firearm. Methinks he wasn't thinking too straight when he did this, although I applaud his guts in making a statement. Could be very costly for him though.

Yes, he deserves support, and he shows how the cost of freedom is not free. He knew full well what he faced by taking his stance, but, he also realizes the cost of not taking the stance.

Paul B, throwing tea into Boston Harbor and committing treason against the Crown were against the law, too. Were the Founding Fathers not thinking straight?

The most tragic thing about the whole constitutional argument thing is this: at the core of the 2nd A and the RKBA is the tenet that the citizens have the power to resist the government at the individual level. However, mounting a constitutional challenge to gun control laws is simply asking the (unconstitutional) government to reconsider its position. What government would say, "You know, you're right. You do have the right to the power to overthrow us."? Not many, I'd guess.

If the lawmakers did not enact unreasonable laws, he would not have broken them!
