I got lucky and drew a California X3B Tag. I have hunted the southernmost part of the zone which is great country.

Does anyone have any input for the rest of the zone?

All responses appreciated. clap

Congrats on a good tag. I got a B as a 3rd choice. Sorry I have no info on this particular zone but I know a site that could help. Try http://www.jesseshunting.com/forums/. A guy last year shot a VERY nice buck. He goes by the name of Bodega. Might be a good place to start. Good luck.

Thanks,

Greg

Thanks Greg.

I spent a few minutes looking at the site, thanks for sharing.

Noticed a few questions about the X9 zones, may be able to help some folks as I grew up hunting there in the Dim Historic Past. Big Grin

I have always used "C" as my second choice, but it looks like that is a thing of the past, and while I always buy a "B" tag, it may be my only choice from here on out. Mad

Oh, per usual, no 'lope, no elk.

Roger that on no antelope elk or sheep. Just going to buy a local tag down here and hunt here on the ranch. Never had any luck drawing x3b, but have seen some great bucks come out of there. Best of luck, get a good one!
