I'm not looking for your honey hole or to steal your favorite spot, just looking for some general insight on the area. A buddy and I are looking at purchasing 4th season bull tags. We don't have unrealistic expectations, but if we hunt hard and put on a lot of miles is there a chance to pull 1 decent animal out?

Thanks in advance.

If it were me I'd look at another unit that one is either straight up and down steep and high altitude or if the elk are lower they are on private land. There is not an in between. On top of that the unit is on the small side.
This unit also has 8 Fourteeners in it is bordered on the west by the Continental Divide and on the east by about 90% private land. These features will limit you somewhat.
Not my first choice for sure.

Really appreciate the insight Snell. Guess that might explain why I've seen so many landownder vouchers for that unit. I'll keep looking.

Thanks again.
