I just got back from my pronghorn hunt up in the panhandle near Dalhart, Texas. Five of us met up for the hunt. The ranch is right on the Texas-Oklahoma border. My 7mm STW did the job at 292 yards with a 140 gr. AccuBond.

Very nice Texas pronghorn. It looks like it has a lot of mass.

Very nice! I was set to go there for the past 7 months, but the landowner got back to me WAY too late, so I couldn't take myself off the schedule.

I was also going to Dalhart and the ranch was on the stateline as well.

I had been looking so forward to that hunt too. Dang it.

Congratulations on your nice buck!

Way to go, Bob! Very nice antelope. I'm always amazed at the large size of antelope in the panhandle. Congratulations.

Beauty! I love pronghorns, I think they are NA's prettiest game animal with their tri color coats.

Thanks y'all!

muygrande-Nope, the boys still have some nice pronghorns at good prices on their ranches in New Mexico. They are now doing guided hunts though. I bet you could call Carl and work something out. Our hunt this year was with another one of our Posse members.

Say, congratualtions, Bob.

My son and I took a couple of nice Pronghorns near Dalhart several years ago. Talk about difficult to approach! We got lucky with one and were able to stalk it from the backside of a circle of irrigated corn for a reasonably close shot (but in a 30 mph wind!). The second one was so elusive that we finally had to take with a "Hail Mary" shot at close to a quarter mile.
