i drew a spring bear permit for lick creek in wash. state spent 5 days on the end of a spotting scope and bino's only to see one large sow W/cubs and a very larege boar we couldn't catch up with before dark, talked with one other permit holder who lives in the area and hunts every evening only to see one small bear in two weeks we hunted high and low, one problem is there is hardly any grass due to lack of rain. any ideas where to look or wht to do? i know there are bear gurus on this site any input would help thanks in advance

I know I live a long ways away but if it helps I just started having baits hit this week. Compared to last year I'd already shot one by now. Sometimes ya just gotta run on their schedule, be patient.

They are out here in N.I. but every thing is green but in a month if you cant follow ths snowline I might have to bait.Or wait till fall
and catch them in the huckleberry brush.

it is going to be a dry year in my neck of the woods not much snow at 6000 feet only a little
bit in some shaded draws. Eeker
