David CulpepperLooking for Hunting Trip Ideas
A buddy and I just had a black bear hunt in Canada fall thru due to the outfitter having emergenrcy surgery. So, we are looking for something else, we have very short time as the week we have off from work is the week of June 8th. Looking for something like a exotic hunt in Texas or something. Not really interested in a hog hunt as we can do that anytime. What do you all recommend and do you have anyone you know or have hunted with that you would recommend?

L. David KeithDavid, contact Wendell Reich and see if he has any Auodad for this time of year. Normally, he only hunts in the late fall/winter months, but he might be able to do something. Or, he has great Red Stag Hind hunting (cheap too). I can check on Bear here in the west if your interested. Send me an email or PM if you want me to check with some of my Outfitters. ravenrdo a self guided black bear hunt in alaska
judging by the ak forem there is a good population in and around anchorage.
i know when a buddy of mine lived there he hunted just an hour outside of town and killed bears.
