Hey folks...our new North American Show - The Zone - starts this week. Prime air times are Wed. evening at 9:30PM eastern and Sundays at 2:30 PM eastern on Sportsman Channel. This week is just a show introducing the series and showing mainly highlights of what's to come.

You can see the intro and get more info by clicking this linkThe Zone

Our new season of Nosler's Magnum TV on Outdoor Channel also begins this week. Tuesdays 12:30PM, Saturdays at 6PM- all times eastern.

You can check this link out for more info
Magnum TV

We have a Zim hunt on this week-
Next week - I have a BC moose and goat hunt on there, the week of July 19-25 my Argentina buff hunt from this past March is on, and the week of Aug 2-8, our Alaska black bear hunt from this past May is on. You can see that this show has more of an international feel. 4 of the next 13 shows are from Zim, and one is with AR's Martin Pieters' safaris.

Check em out and let me know what you think...TH

Well...If Mark Young and I draw tags this year, he and I are going to do an AZ mulie show, and if Aaron Neilsen comes up with me a landowner tag in CO, he and I are going to do a CO deer hunt (since I was the only one in my group that didn't draw a tag). Wink

Lee Britt (AR member) is going with me to Zim next month and we are going to use his footage for Nosler's Magnum TV.

Now...all that aside...on the Magnum TV show, we film hunts with members of the Magnum Hunt Club all the time. This week is 2 members in Zim. The website is being updated now, but the old one currently is www.magnumhuntclub.com .
Probably 1/3 of the episodes are members and not the full time hosts.

I do quite a few group hunts, and we often feature guys in the group on the shows. The kicker is that we don't have a hunt budget to buy hunts for other folks, but if you want to go on any of our group trips, send me an e-mail to tim@timherald.com , and I can give you all kinds of info.

We are only going to have about 2 turkey segments (not whole shows) a year on the show because we all hate watching turkey hunts, but we are giving away a free $1800 Merriam's Hunt in NE next spring and will film the winner while we hunt together. There are details on how to get into the drawing in every show.

Hope that made a little sense...TH

Tim - Just to make you feel better. We had a total of 8 hunters apply for the same tag as you, we drew 7 for 8, including your 2 buddies. Your luck sucks!!!

Tim, I'm getting pretty close to drawing an AZ mule deer tag, 11 bonus points if memory serves me. If I draw that tag, get the camera ready...... after the Zim hunt of course!!

Ya know, my son kinda got me into the hunting shows; get 3-4 channels on Dir Tv. I like guns & ammo, Amer Rifleman, Handguns, the pigman guy, Modern rifle (AR"s), That frenchy guy who calls the bulls in, and of course that guy who uses Foxpro caller on the cyotes; the rest I scan through. I need to walk out my back door rather than watch that tv, ha. I have got the foxpro out and called fox into the yard though and of course all the ravens for miles around after tv shows.

The Zone, I'll be sure to check it out; glad to hear about it.

You need to come up to Alaska when there's 5000 caribou spread out right in front of ya during migration.

Tim, can't wait! I've got the DVR programmed. Anxious to see the footage from the little Sony camera.

Aaron sounds like he's making excuses huh? I'd hate to make you just film me! Come on Aaron, find a tag! Rusty and I will be ready. Been shooting a bunch.

4 weeks away!

Yeah Butch...he will be on TV, but I figure we will have about 3 months of figuring out something to do about that situation if we draw the tags rotflmo!

...But with my current tag draw luck, we may not be going at all. I hope Mark's luck can overtake mine as we put in together...

Hey Tim I'd love to see your show, but I do not have Cable or a Dish. Basically I can fall asleep in front of regular Antenna TV as well as any other kind. Big Grin

Just wondering if your show has "music" in the background during the Hunt? If so, "WHY???"

Congrats on the new show. I thought it was kind of funny that Nosler's first show was a bow hunting episode!

Bob...that was first show in Jan. We do have 3 or so bow shows a year if they are good enough, and that was a top 5 Brown bear in the world witha bow, so we felt it was pretty strong.

I think in the next 6 months, we may have one bow show. Besides that, it is all guns! Thanks for watching...

Tim why do you have to do bow shows?

Please don't do any whitetail, turkey, elk, or mule deer with a bow. So much on TV and it's so boring.

I am liking the show though, good stuff.

Apparently Tim doesn't know. Anybody?

Only reason I can see for it is using it as White Noise to hide something going on in the background. If that is the situation, what would that noise be?

Hey Bob in TX, The Antennas for the Turkey Feathers work great. The get dual usage as Attractors and as Wind Flags. tu2

Hot Core...we have some music in the show, but it isn't overbearing. I can tell you if you are watching a deer walking in at 300 yards with 30 pmh wind blowing in the microphone, it is nice to have a little music. Also, music in the right places helps with editing. You can switch shots on "the beat" and it looks right. Otherwise it would look like a ton of random cuts.

Music in a video or TV, is very important. It sets the tone for the footage, just like a major motion picture. Often picking the music is the most important criteria.

I'm waiting for the show that has Hotsh$t in it on a elk hunting trip either in the "Carolinas" or in Kentucky. It would be great to see him argue with the guides and the outfitters on the proper way to hunt elk and the proper calibers to use. I heard that he favors a .270 Pre-64 Model 70 with a beautiful wood stock filled with those fantastic Blue Dot loads that he endorses here so frequently.

Wait a second....... Hotsh$t doesn't have a cable set up or a dish to see the show on. I don't know if he has indoor plumbing or centralized heat either, you could call him and ask but maybe he doesn't have a phone. I guess down in the "Carolinas" they just open the door and give out a holler.

I also heard that he doesn't even have a chronograph!!!!! Can you believe that??? Perhaps another idea for a show where he stars, I can just see him arguing with the TV production people over how to shoot it, would be on reloading techniques utilizing Blue Dot Powder, his go to powder.

I guarantee you a hit if these two shows are produced!!!!

Who in the heck is Hotsh$t????

Hotsh$t is one of my dearest hunting buddies down in the "Carolinas". He is the suppository of all elk hunting knowledge and reloading techniques. If you don't think so ask him.......he'll tell you. Best to avoid the old man Glenn as his meds are not always effective and the TV is broke in his shack. A poacher supreme of "thousands of deer" and an advocate of the Pre-64 Model 70 in a wood stock in the .223 and his favorite elk caliber, the mighty .270. He has a fondness for Berger Hunting bullets, Blue Dot powder and ricochets that can cause "innerd shifting", his term not mine!!!!

Besides being called Hotsh$t and Dumbsh$t he is occasionally known as:

Hotcore
