Who makes the best 54 cal. muzzle loading barrels today...I mean quality number l barrels, cost is not an issue.

Ray, the best I've used are those from Green Mountain. It is my understanding that this company is now owned by Knight, the people who make those reeeaally ugly black in-lines. My latest barrel is shooting 2-3" at 100 yds with irons (peep and gold bead) and is limited to that figure by the shooter! I find a rather blurry X at that range with these sights. I shoot traditional percussion guns in organized shoots, as well as hunt deer and elk with the same.If you like black powder, I'd probably like you----------Chuck
