After nine long years I finally drew a buck antelope tag for the Steens unit. I'm planning on at least two scouting trips to try and locate some bucks on public land. Can anyone help me out with some good general areas to start looking?

Congrats on the draw. I have been thru there a lot and antelope being migratory, they can be just about anywhere.

I got an east slope Antelope tag by Crater Lake, so I will be trying my luck at that. Antelope hunting in heavily wooded area.

Nothing else will give me a week or being able to walk thru a lot of beautiful scenary. I am sure I will see a lot of Elk and Deer, even the occasional bear.

But an antelope tag, and skunking is better than no hunting tag at all. Good luck out there on Steen!
