Been watching this guy. I'm giving him a pass because I think he is only 3.5 at most, maybe not even that old, and he has a broken eyeguard.
A buck like this is hard for people to pass on in this part of the country...

What do all the experienced deer hunters out there age this guy at?

Shoot it and post a pic of it's teeth, it's a lot easier to age them that way. sofa

I think your right on age, and score, I would let him walk for another year, or maybe even two. Best of luck, looks like beautiful country!!

Corn country deer. I think he might be a 2.5 year old. Corn and beans are like steroids for deer. Looks young like an 18 year old human, not heavy of horn but not spindly. My guess is that if he lives 1 or 2 more seasons in that high quality feed, he will really be amazing.

Let us know.

3.5 maximum, I go along with 120-125 points.

If you are trophy hunting, he could go another year to 2 years. He is a nice buck as is, but I feel he has the potential to get bigger.

He looks 4.5 to me. In the top photo his hindquarters are smaller than his forequarters. But I'm used to aging Texas deer.

I call him 4 1/2 with a bit of confidence. There are some telltale signs and some signs that would confuse you as to whether he is 3.5 or 4.5.

He is a bit lean for a 4.5 yr old deer. But then again, we only get two decent pics to go by. Either one can be misleading.

I would guess low to mid 120's.

If you like him, kill him. Who cares what the internet thinks. Smiler
