A young wolf was tagged on the Kenai peninsula in Alaska in the spring and caught north of Fairbanks that fall. A distance of nearly five hundred miles in a few months. Anyone who claims the 30-06 is ineffective has either not tried one, or is unwittingly commenting on their own marksmanship Phil Shoemaker Alaska Master guide FAA Master pilot NRA Benefactor www.grizzlyskinsofalaska.com

Shoot em all and let the bleeding hearts sort them out. A few weeks ago a friend killed a black wolf up in B.C. He's having a full mount done. He said he never smelled such a fowl smelling animal. BJ

That's not so far. A gray wolf was shot three years ago near Trenton, Missouri by a man bowhunting deer. He believed it was a coyote until he walked up to it, and it was verified by the Conservation Dept. A shot not taken is always a miss
