Dad drew the late cow tag in 24, I think it starts in November.

I did not draw deer or antelope.

I have yet to draw anything this year 5 states of nothing.

Hopefully I pick up a military AZ javelina and Gould's turkey tag on Fort Huachuca.

Just put in for Leftover antelope draw for area 23.... there are 1000+ tags left, so why was I unsuccessful for the regular draw, same area?? (Most of area is private land...I hunt on a large ranch in that area).

Results will be announced July 11. Hope I’m successful.

Best regards, D. Nelson

My guess you were unsuccessful because your 1st app. was for a 23-1 tag. What is left is 23-2 tags, private land only. 23-1 is public and private and demand is high.

You are absolutely correct! Thanks for explaining. I’ve hunted in Wyoming for 30

I and 2 other buddies drew antelope for Unit 15. Now I just need recommendations that there is sufficient BLM or State land to hunt Antelope or referrals to land owners who may let a few hunt or have a minimal trespass fee for access.

It looks like area 15 is right around Sheridan. The BLM land around there is mostly land locked by private land. It will be difficult or pricey to find land to hunt antelope there. Probably best to try to find a local outfitter for availability. The only good antelope hunting is west of Lake DeSmet and that is private.
If I’ve got your area right, it would be good to find someone to direct you to access.
If you will be staying around Sheridan, it is a beautiful, Western town. Lots of whitetail & mule deer.

Best regards, D. Nelson

I'll be in the very SW portion of the state, just by Evanston. My buddy has a 32,000 acre ranch there...loads of deer and some pretty nice bucks too!

Charlie;

I don’t have the “hex” on me with mule
deer and antelope as I do with lion!!!!

But it looks like I’ll be taking my 17 year old great-nephew to Zambia next year!!! He has begged me to take him on safari. I couldn’t pass up one more trip to Africa!!!! Andrew promised to save me a buffalo!

When are you and Anja planning an antelope hunt?

Hugs, Darin
