Some of my clients have hunted up there and were successful, both spring and fall. Its very steep country, spring time hunts are over bait in tree stands and there are alot of bugs, ticks in that time of year, you can harvest 2 bears per hunter. You also have color phase to pick . It's a good adventure. Have a good time... patriot

I and several of my friends have hunted near Elk City Idaho with Elk City Adventures.

www.elkcityadventures.com

They are great people and run a great hunt.

I have hunted with them several times.

A lot of the country around there is a 2 bear area.

Last year I was in their camp with 10 hunters, friends of mine. I was hunting with a friends son, as he was to young to hunt by himself. In a 5 day period we killed 10 bears.

Many Thanks for that link.

I checked out the website, and I might change from a Spring Hunt to a Fall hunt.

If everything is as listed, I could be hunting bear the week of my 60th. birthday.

The last time I did something like that I was in Nunavut hunting Musk Ox and Caribou on my 50th. birthday.
