I have seen many bears when I have been out riding by bike. My Ti 41 mag goes with me on evry ride.

A Panama City man is recovering after a black bear attacked him while he was riding his bike to work.

John Hearn said he saw something out of the corner of his eye early Thursday morning. The nearly 300-pound bear smacked him off his bicycle and then fled into some nearby woods. Passing motorists stopped to help

I wonder if it was 300 lb ?? Most overestimate weight of bears . Attack or just confused ?.I'll bet a confused juvenil .

Could have been a Jamaican with Dreads.

I guess he was confussed hasn't learned yet that that hunk of meat on the bike wasn't really eatible.

Unarmed Humans soft, pink ,no claws, no fangs and can't run very fast easy meat.

What difference does it make if it was 300# or 100# or 800#?

There wasn't very much about claw marks or bites so where was the "attack " ???

What difference ? A hit by a 100 lb bear might knock you over but a 800 lb bear would knock you into the next county. Do the numbers - just like figuring bullet energy !
