Very well written indeed! Well done!

As a Christian, and given the example of MLK Jr., it is my opinion that an effective ally of the 2nd ammendment (interpreted in the manner you have, Flint) is civil disobedience.

Of course, the nature of the two ideas, while perhaps contradictory (the right to bear arms and the perogative to civilly disobey authority when it is in error), leaves much grey area as to decide when it becomes necessary to move from non-violent resistance to armed (hence, violent) resistance.

It is a difficult position; these however, are the times which we have been given.

Your article is well written and historically significant. All we can hope for is that leaders have the same understanding of the Amendment as you. Thanks for sharing!

BigNate, that is a succinct, well spoken American!

His question regarding "why do we see these sort of mass shootings today, when in fact Americans had greater access to weapons via mail-order & hardware stores? The DECAY of society."

No truer words were ever spoken!

Very well written.
It might also be pointed out that the reason the Bill of Rights was added to the Constitution is that only way that the states would ratify the Constitution is to specifically limit the power of the Federal Government. The Bill of Rights is all about what the Federal Government CANNOT DO.

Impressive. Thanks.

All these thoughts are not new, but the US has a lot of young people who need to learn them. It's important to both them and all of us.
