Just my .02 here. I used the new SST last year in 139 grains for my 7mm rem mag. I shot a big 400-pound cow elk with one shot. She was facing head on and the shot hit her about 3/4 of the way down the neck. Completely dropped her right there. The shot was around 180-200 yards. My brother shot a huge bull elk last year as well with the same 7mm rem mag and 139 SST. Shot it right behind the front shoulders at around 350 yards. We are both eating well. Right now I am in the process of loading both the 140 BT and the 139 SST and whichever one shoots best will get the green light for this fall's hunt. | ||
