I'll guarentee you have a Shot at "FREE RANGING" / Flying flies in South West Idaho. this is a "FAIR CHASE" hunt and you can Bring your own weapon or we can Supply you with one.

On hand we have a #2 Rubberband or a 4"x4" Fly swatter.

These hunts can be set and prices negociated by calling me at (208)GET-FLYS.

What's the cost for a SCI 400+ and I want to use the 4X4

The only kicker is I want Ray Atkinson as my PH as he would be the king with the flyswatter with the amount of "Shit" he spreds

And Fly's on my place is B&C not SCI. It's all Free ranging.......

I have a Score Sheet I downloaded that I'll show later on the spread of a Fly.

I'll get you a Price list later.

So how many flies did your hunters take last year? How many fly hunters booked this hunt? Why did some of the hunters not get a fly? So what was the average Boone and Crockett score on those flies taken the last few years? I'm sure you can answer these questions about your fly hunt better than Ray could about his "trophy" Texas mule deer hunts.

Which subspecies are the flies in Idaho and how many does
it take to get a slam?

How do you score one also?

Moosie, can you GUARANTEE that these are truly wild and NOT semi-domestic flies?

Moosie,

I'm concerned about your recomendation of a #2 rubber band for Idaho flies? I would think it would work with proper shot placement but does it have the needed stopping power in the event of a charge? And what if the only opportunity you have is shooting the fly in the ass?

This all sounds good, but Moosie's area is one of the WORST areas in Idaho to hunt flies. Those who know hunt the areas around the dairies in Twin Falls. Many more flies to choose from, and much higher scoring, on average. Don't get fooled into spending your time hunting marginal country. For a few bucks tresspass fees, you won't waste time, and you'll have a guaranteed trophy on your wall! Dutch.

Look out, he's masquarading "mosquitos" as "flies", and a "4X4" flyswatter is way to close to the totally inadequate 45/70 for me, better change that to a block of 2X4 loaded with Matchkings!!

Moosie;
sounds like a great hunt! but I can find big tuff flys in my neck of the woods- and if you are lucky you can get knats also!
why should I go thru a booking agent to do anything?
that is like buying beef, veggies, produce etc from a broker
everybody who touches the "product" gets a cut-even those who don't touch it but sells it gets a cut
if you need to hunt for something go to the source
do away with the middleman
so take back your life and quit supporting other people-
you work for your money so let them 'booking agents' find a working job!

this reply brought to you by "we won't" bendover & spreadum

Drum, what do you know about the dairies around Twin Falls? These are some of the biggest, meanest, wildest flies you will see anywhere! This is not a canned hunt. The flies can go anywhere, no fences at all.

These are REAL hunts. The evening before, we go to Nevada, do a little winning, then we stay in a superb hotel. In the morning, we play a round of golf, waiting for the flies to get active. Then, we take you out to the hunting fields for the big challenge. Be perpared to do lots of walking, because some of these dairies are HUGE! Some of them over 500 acres: very challenging, because the flies could be anywhere.

But, we only have a few of these exclusive hunts left, you don't want to miss it. If you don't have a trophy fly in your collection, your buddies will point and laugh and snicker behind your back! What's a little money, compared to the respect of you buddies?

Make sure you bring good boots, because the cow $hit can get pretty deep around there..... Dutch.

Big Sky. I'm not like Most and Don't exagerate the Spread of my Fly's. We took 10 fly's and 6 of the 10 makeing Fly B&C. thats a 140% success rate. Don't do the math, jsut trust me. Fly's unlike Wasps (Like whitetail and Muledeer) you score Different. You take all the Viens in each leg as opposed to just one side. You really need to take a Trip out to see it.

How this hunt works is you show up in Boise (Lodging would be included in a Tent in my yard. I wouldn't provide Dinner the first night but I would provide breakfast the next morning. You would eat like a King with a Bowl of Oatmeal and a 1/2 a Banana. We'd also provide you with a 1/2 a Peanut butter and Jelly sam-ich. You shouldn't eat all your San-mitch because that would be the Bait for the Flys.

I would also take some of the Posts here that I've reacently read and spread that around. Flys like Bullcrap the best and we'd bring them in by the Hoards !!!

a Typical setup would be ride the ATV from the backyard to the Side yard. get off the ATV and sit in a LAwn chair. Depending on the type of weapon Primitive (#2) or modern (Swatter) would depend on the Sitting location.

I get so Choaked up and Fired up with the Success I have I need to stop typing for a bit. I will tell you more of the Hunt later but Will answer a Few More Questions.

Nut asked about a Slam. Here we have a Blow Fly, a Yelow Jacket and a Rainbow yellow belly. I only provide the Blowfly but I have friends in Idaho that are Yellow Belly's that could help you out in fo-filling your slam

W.H. I can "NOT" Guarentee that it's truely wild. We would be inclosed in a Fence. Now, grant it the Flys can Come and Go over the fence but some might not know how so They might be stuck in my yard. I do own .5 Acres so ther eis Plenty of places for them to Hide. I don't know were a Picture is of the Outside which is a More fair hunt. But I do have pictures of the Inside which is more of a Guarenteed hunt. The flyies like swooping from one side of the Single wide to the Other. Here are some of their favorite Hiding spots :

They like to Hide inbetween some of the obsticals on the Walls.... Sometimes in between other Flying thing in the house :

Anyways.. Enought about the Hiding places and Such.. ON with more questions..

SkiBum, You are correct that a #3 rubberband would be a Better Magnum for the fly but for mounting purposes you want to use the #2. Trust me, I'm an Expert. I've been doing this for awhile. Don't question me. I'm the Guy that is setting up the Hunt so I Know best. I do, just ask me !!!

Dutch, you are correct that Twin Falls has a Better Manure smell then the rest of Idaho but We still have a Good # of flys.

8mm, There are Mosquitos here but I only offer the North american fly.

I have more Answers but need to go Kick my Dog so I'll be on later.

Still sounds like a canned hunt to me. My preferred method is spot and stalk. First you spot a large bull in the middle of a pasture. Then you quitely stalk up behind him. Generally the largest trophy flies will be bedded in the short hair surrounding the bulls ass. Moving with the stealth of a ninja you ease in, come to full draw with the rubber band and let fly from point blank range. It is at this point that things get real interesting...

Yeah, but what Skibum is not telling you is that there is a PH with a fully automatic rubber band gun, standing right there, just in case things get ugly! Dutch.

http://www.bigwigbands.com/rb_sizes.html Check out the 900 series, loaded in a double, they would make a truly classic DF backup don't you think? DF=Dangerous Fly.

I have a question, when hunting flies do you guys prefer synthetic stocks or wood stocks on your rubber band guns? I am curious but I prefer synthetic, it seems to hold up to more bullshit when I am out crawling in the bull pastures.

8mm, I would suggest at least the 906C. Anything less will be lacking the sectional density needed for a true DF round.

Huntsonora, Rubber band gun? No no no. Proper technique requires putting the rubber band around your extended right index finger (assuming you are right handed) and drawing with your left. This allows the rubber band to be stretched to it's maximum state of elasticity giving maximum velocity.

Moosie, Personally I never think about mounting the animals I kill...not that there is anything wrong with that

huntsonora, Skibum is right the only truly traditional way to fire a rubber band is off the extended finger. Just remember to not put your fingers in your mouth after crawling around the pasture. And don't even get me started about mechanical releases!

I like you guys even more, traditionalists that shoot instinctive with fingers. I wish I was in your league but with a lot of effort maybe I can become a great fly hunter. I will try and hone my skills this weekend and try and harvest the biggest and baddest of all flies in this area, the horse fly! I might have to have my 5 yr old daughter back me up in case I would him and he gives me a fly-by, thats a charge for all non fly hunters.

Guys, I know you think Moosie is funny....but he is a real piece of CRAP. He is the guy who lied about his father being killed last year in the war. I don't think I would pee on a piece of crap like him if he was on fire.

QUICK, SOMEONE PEE ON ME !!!!!!

I sure hope that comment above about me fibing about my dad won't hinder the Fly hunt sales I'm offering. I think I have a Long enough track record to prove that I'm a Capable Fly hunter.

Someone above was talking about Twin Falls Idaho. I remember reading an Article about dairy's down there. Below is a Multi level Hunt.... Flies and Cows. We cutthe Tags out of the Cows ears before we take the picture, don't worry.

Could this be why there is So much Bull crap coming from there ?

Remember....

Urdubob,

I'd pinch the barb down on that hook before you try and back it out of your mouth.

If you fell for that story you are very, very gullible.

To know Moosie is to love his sense of humor....

What the heck is an "Urdubob" anyhow......
