Hey guys I just mounted up my deer from 2 years ago. Wish I would have done it sooner. I think it turned out well. He scored 175"

Awesome trophies. I particularly like the big broomed sheep with thick horns. Maaaan----you stared hunting sheep as a kid!

Thanks for sharing.

Which thick horned one do you like the most? The one on the wall or the pedestal mount? My favorite is the smallest one! I was 15 years old. My second year hunting sheep and I thought I was nuts after trying so hard the year before and not having much luck. The day I shot mine I crawled up a steep mountain pulling myself up on willow bushes just to get tot he top to look at a herd of 40 goats. We were watching the goats when my dad saw a band of rams 400 yards below. I snuck through all the goats and shot my ram at about 200 yards and he rolled down most of the steep shoot he was on and got hung up on one lone tree. It was late and we got it skinned and headed down the mountains and got stopped half way down at dark with no food and no water as it was only a day hike we thought. The temp. changed and the sleet started to pour down on us all night. I froze on one side and overcooked myself on the big fire we had on the other all night while I tried to sleep on a downward slope that was steep enough it felt like I was standing up.
The next morning I got down the mountain and lost the horses. Finally found them and had to go back up the mountain for the meat!! Dad and I got to within 200 yards of the meat and fell asleep for 4 hours absolutely exhausted. Thank goodness the sun was shining and it was nice and warm that day.
I'll never forget that ram with my dad by my side. Best hunt ever!! Best trophy ever!!!!
