I know this is a pretty general topic, and covers a lot of bases, but heck, why not?? Your favorite article/piece, and why-- how 'bout it??

My favorite is a little known piece by Bob Bell in his book, "All About Scopes and Mounts". In the foreword to the book he describes a single rifleshot on a looong-range groundhog. It was a colloquial piece, with a lot of detail, and I felt like i was right there with him when he did it. To put that kind of feeling into a shot at a groundhog with a philosophical twist to boot takes some talent.

Guns and Ammo...several years ago...somewhere around 1988...

"U.S. Navy's Sixteen Inchers....World's Biggest Varmint Rifles!" Or something like that. I have always loved battleships and to see an article on the 16 inchers in a gun mag was great.
