Well I just finished packing for a hunt tomorrow. It's one of those "canned" Texas hunts. You know, high fenced and only about 7400 acres up near Ingram TX, just like shooting fish in a barrel (a really big barrel though). Anyway, the Axis deer are in hard horns now and he has a pretty good herd of Blackbuck antelope also.

It's tough deciding what to wear hunting when it's 85 degrees outside. I guess thats a good problem to have though.

Jeez, on only 7400 acres you are practically shoulder to shoulder with the game! I do not understand how the animals do not all run out when they open the gate to drive the truck in. After all, that is only 11.5 sq miles of land, hardly enough room to hide a rabbit.

Have fun. Axis is my favorite canned meat.

Axis Deer = yummy!

(I just wanted to get the first jab in before the other free range zealots get going!)
