I remember hunting Elk along the Yellowstone park border (Blackpowder area) in the mid 80's and seeing two grizzlies in one day. That single shot .54 caliber didn't seem like enough rifle. Odds for a draw don't look all that good! But not to worry the wolves have grown so fat and sassy eating Mt. Lions they will probably be eating Griz within the year... No kidding, the wolves are killing Lions in Northern Idaho, if a pack can get a Lion out in the sage brush they kill and eat grown mature lions..Thats a first, but true. The liberal left with the help of our Govt. simply had to lie about the number of wolves turned loose, It,s become a govt of if the end justifies the means then its OK.. A female wolf has litters of 3 to 8 pups Im told and they have a high survival rate in Idaho and the Pacific NW, and the elk are diminishing..the experts didn't do the math, a wolf litters and elk or deer have one sometimes two offspring, of which before wolves only one survived as a rule, now maybe both don't survive. Another lie was Idaho never had these big Alaskan wolves, they had a smaller grey wolf, but to the liberal left in their high rise apts a wolf is a wolf, and apparently the USF&G believe that too, which comes as no surprise...Ignorance or dishonesty?? who knows, who cares, the results is the same... An interesting sidenote is it seems to me the elk are moving out into the desert, ran out or just doing better out there is the question..the wolves aren't out there in high numbers or at least no legitamate sighting that I know of.
