Just lost my right to wolf hunt!
There was a great show on the Outdoor Channel the other evening by Best of the West, entitled "Shepherds of Wolves". It really brought home the point that wolves must be managed by hunting. One rancher stated that he had lost over 40 cows and calves in a three month period to wolves and that the loss amounted to over $32K, not including feed, etc. And, it was not a free range ranch. This is the show that the anti's need to see.

THEY DON'T / WON'T CARE!

The 'anti's' are not mis- or un- informed people who will change their minds once they see another point of view. If you bring up the issue of economic damage to ranchers you'll hear something along the lines of "they'll just have to learn share the land and get along with wolves" or "a few cattle lost is a small price to pay for biodiversity." The more hardcore wolf huggers will talk about "welfare ranchers" who receive government money (in the form of subsidies) and that accepting the wolf invasion is simply part of the bargain. It goes without saying these responses reflect the socialistic and communistic leaning of the pro wolf advocates.

Expecting one of them to change their minds based on a show is about as realistic as expecting you or I to give up hunting after watching Bambi.

true. but they are mis- or un-informed. emotions cloud their judgment, or drive their decisions, or both. they are "believers" who have made up their minds. facts be damned.

I'm sitting down right now to write a letter to my congressman and both of my senators to urge their ntroducing a bill to amend the ESA.. the idea to designate the various agencies the "Authority" to delist, authority that the judge in this case denies exists...

a quick reading of the decision reveals how to defeat the ruling.

If I provoke you into thinking then I've done my good deed for the day!
Those who manage to provoke themselves into other activities have only themselves to blame.
