They can easily over populate and area and get out of hand if not kept under control. I't amazing just how fast they can multiply and damage native habitat.

On the bright side, the're sure fun to hunt and even better to eat!

The state of missouri has had a recent influx of wild hogs from surrounding states and is actively trying to eradicate them. Myself I would like to have them around as another hunting option. As it stands now there are no bag limits and no limitations on how they may be hunted.

Among other states, Texas has their fare share of them.

I can speak from personal experience that they can be almost wiped out by trapping. Not completely but you can do damage to their numbers.

I have trapped them in the past, caught 28 in one trap in one week. All further efforts to catch any in this are were met with nothing.

I do love to hunt them too. Like hunting little Cape Buffalo's.
