Do you use an elevated stand to hunt deer or do you stalk them? We make or use 3 types of stands. The most common is a platform built from 2x4's between 3 or 4 trees ranging from 8 to 12 feet off the ground. The second type is a free standing tower made from 4x4's at about 8 feet high with plywood sides and roof. The 3rd most common is a pre-manufactured ladder stand welded from square tube.

I use a ground blind, over open fields. The owners of the land I hunt prefer blinds that are moble.

A comfy seat pad on a rock/stump in the right place is about all I use. Might try my tree stand this year over a feeder.

Depending on the season. the day of the season ect. I use all of them. Then add still hunting and driving in too. I am lucky to have many areas I can hunt each one we use the right type of hunt to be most effective.
