Received my NR any antelope license couple of days ago- for Area 32, just north of Shirley Basin. No notice yet on doe tag. Some of you may recall that I had to cancel last year's hunt due to health issue. I selected a different area this time, of which I am not familiar. So, I am looking for input for Area 32. I will be bringing my wife and our 5th Wheel trailer. (She does not hunt.) The season starts Sept. 25 and runs to Oct. 25. I plan to avoid the opening week crowd and hunt from the 2nd week until I fill my tag(s). Questions:
1. I understand access is not a problem
in this area; that there is adequate
public land.
2. Where is a good place to camp with a
trailer?
3. What can I expect for weather during
the first two-three weeks of Oct.?
What are the roads like if it rains or
snows?(I have 4x4 and chains.)
4. What shape are the herds in, in this
area?
5. What is the hunt terrain like?
6. I have hunted antelope before, but not
in WY. Any particular hunting
strategy, tactics or techniques unique
to this area?
7. Anything I should know about this
area?
8. Any advice about where I should focus
my efforts in the area? Any other
advice you think I need is more than
welcome.

I can help ya with 3 and 4. the weather can be almost anything from Hot and dry to cold and wet. take the chains.

I just spent a week fishing with the retired Ass.Chief of wildlife that hunts that area every year. the winter was mild and there has been good water for the last couple of years.
