I just returned from a hunt with Mike McKinny
of West Texas Hunts. It was a really great hunt from start to finish. The Ranch we hunted was located about an hour from Sonora, Texas and had excellent facilities and hunting, We were concerned about the heat this early in the season but the weather was great and plenty cool enough early morning and late afternoon.
We stayed in a very nice Bunkhouse and the food and accomodations were excellent. I shot a very good Aoudad the first afternoon and Al shot a monster the next morning. I would haft to give this hunt an A plus! Mike will post pictures upon his return home.

Brian,

This is my second Aoudad hunt and i am really excited about the hunt still! The big rams are really touugh and you must place your shot in a vital area or they will get away and be lost. The guides had several horror tales of rams shot in the gutsc with magnum rounds and how hard they were to recover. I shot my ram facing me and thought that he should have gone down but he made a death run and i shot him on the run to put him down. He was dead but wouldn't accept it.

Heres a 36inch Ram taken this past weekend and 1 31 inch ram (different ranches). Couldn't resist posting the picture, client of the 36incher is an AR member and might be posting a report here soon too.
