Well, I put some money down on the 7mm (as I will be hunting antelope before I do elk!), but we had some minor water damage the other night. So the money might be going to repairs first. With any luck, I will have enough to take it off layaway. As for "The" elk rifle.. I will keep my eyes open for a .300 WinMag. But right now I will get use out of a 7mm for antelope and such that I probably wouldn't for a more expensive gun. And I already have some money squirled away for a new barrel...

You won't be disapointed! The "magnificent 7" will be fine for anything you want to hunt. It doesn't matter what you shoot, it is how you shoot it!

Was the "muzzle break" the Winchester Boss of a few years ago? If so, how much did they want for that Winchester .338?

They wanted about $600 or so (I can't remember exactly, but will check it out next time I am there). How do you tell if it is the BOSS?
