Here is a picture I thought might put a smile on some hunter's faces. This is my daughter. She was born on opening day so goes deer hunting with us every year since she was 9! Her Grandpa bagged this upper Wisconsin buck last season, but we set up this shot because we thought it would impress her friends at school. "Keep dreamin' kid!" Cool

Nothing could make a dad prouder!!!

My daughter - age 5 - says she wants a "pretty rifle"; you know, one with lots of engraving and nice wood.

Best wishes, Scott. And, if you're ever in the Gordon neighborhood, drop me a line.

Gun Control - A theory espoused by some monumentally stupid people; who claim to believe, against all logic and common sense, that a violent predator who ignores the laws prohibiting them from robbing, raping, kidnapping, torturing and killing their fellow human beings will obey a law telling them that they cannot own a gun.

My daughter has been shooting with me this summer; off our back porch bench. She's pretty good with the old pre ban Ar since I put one of those cheapy leupolds on it.

Subsistence caribou hunt starts for us on Aug 10th. I just called my gun guy in Fairbanks to save me a 6.8 spc Stagg as we are going in on the 2nd of Aug. So now she will have her own gun too.

Can't wait to see her shoot a couple bou.

A beautiful and, I suspect, a wonderful daughter--congratulations!!!

I have a tremendous three-year-old blonde headed granddaughter that I hope to have some great hunting experiences with.

I have treasured my hunting time with her older brother. I was hunting with him when he killed his first deer (10-point whitetail) with my .243. He made a tremendous shot--dropping the buck in his tracks at 70 yds. I was more excited than he was--we were jumping up and down in the blind and I was shouting "you got em . . . you got em!" (He was nine years old at the time.)

My 30 year old started that way, last night she called and said "Hey, Grandpa." First, and probably only, marriage and first child. I don't know if I'm prouder , but I'm pretty dang proud.

Best wishes and good luck to everyone this autumn!

The kids drove around with me to a couple of deer stands this last weekend; went down to grandpa's garden too...

Lot's of deer + lots of vegetables = lots of fun this fall!
