I got this old boy at about 5:30pm, while walking down an overgrown old road. About 25 yards 3006 , shot in the neck

Yeah he was in rut, swollen neck, very wet and stinky glands.
Fish , I shot him about 45 miles west of Macon. Upson County.

Rug, he is nice buck for sure, seems the rut is cranking up a little early this year, it's on in Morgan and Jasper county for sure.

A fine south eastern buck indeed!!!

I really like the color of his horns, they almost have a reddish tinge to them, must be from a pine tree or something.
