I'm trying to set up a bow hunt spot and stalk Mule Deer Hunt in either the States or Canada for this year 2015. Seems like some of the more solid places are booked up for this year. Anyone out there that can point me in the right direction? Please reply or PM. Thank you!!!

After you factor in all of the cost of safari this isn't entirely true

I never claimed it was bit seeing proces of 6-8k for deer hunts in the us and success rates in the 70% range vs the same money plus airfare to,Africa makes Afroca much more appealing to me.

Now I just put. Cow,elk, and,a,whitetail doe,or two in the freezer and save for another safari.

I kept a detailed price list of my June plainsgame hunt

I tracked every expense

From passports to final US shipping/custom agent

The cost of a $4500 six animal hunt is closer to 3X that by the time the capes hit your door step

The full and entire cost of a PG hunt is rarely discussed

As far as the op's question Aaron Nielson or Bridger Patrini

Boys - Thanks for the recommendations, much appreciated.

Skyjacker - we will do our best to get you the type of buck you are after. In 2014 we took 14 muleys over 180", hopefully we can get you one too.

Thank you,

Really large trophy mule deer are very difficult to come by. Craig Boddington, in his book Fair Chase in North America wrote:

"I consider a really large trophy mule deer - not necessarily a book deer , but one with mass, length, points, character, and class - as the most difficult trophy in North America... Even with a great tag in the best remaining areas there are no assurances of a great mule deer."

Considering the above, $6,000 to $8,000 or so for a decent chance at a really good mulie does not seem out of line at all. If you are willing to settle for a 150 to 160 or so, you should expect to pay less.

If you're still deciding, check with Eric @ Milk Creek Outfitters in eastern Montana. My shot a 5x5 whitetail w/these guys but we saw plenty of nice mule deer, and this wae quite late in the season!
