My friend and I took a couple of nice bucks last week, my ten was on the second day of the shotgun my friends was a couple of days before the shotgun with a bow [URL= ][img]http:/ [IMG] [URL= ][img]http://www.hunt101.com/data/5 I shot and missed the 10 pt on opening day and I switched shotguns and the deer showed up the second day at the same time and place. If you look at my 10 point you can see the bulgw from the slug just behind the missing hair which is circular in size My friend deer was spotted a 100 yards or so behind his house he stalked to within 30 yards and the went 5 feet and fell over. Now his deer seems healthy, of proper weight and good coat texture. He had an enlarged hind quarter which was infected badly from a recent 22 caliber wound since it was still festering. More important is the facial wound which was totally healed indicating it occurred some time ago. Look closely it appeared to a a shotgun slug that destroyed his nose and facial skin. The upper part of his mouth was intact allowing him to eat. The skull is exposed and the skin has fused to the skull. His nasal passage is exposed due to the missing nose Also note he is a healthy 10 pt plus he has several antler spurs staring between his antlers down his forehead somewhat like a unicorn NRA Life Member, ILL Rifle Assoc Life Member, Navy | ||
