Had a great hunt in CO Unit 61 and took a bull on Thursday morning. Had some really sketchy weather opening weekend but the next few days were about perfect. Saw bulls every day and spotted this bull in a herd of about 45 elk. He walked over half a mile right into my lap and I couldn't pass him up. The shot was about 225 yards with a 200grn TSX from my .300 RUM, high shoulder.

That's a nice one.

I got a 4x5 in 62 last Sunday.

I'm 41 now and should draw 61 when I'm too old to hunt.

Dogchaser, Only took me 7 points for 2nd rifle. You should still be walking in 7 years! Smiler

I have 1 point right now.

If I had known the system before I was a resident I would almost have enough now.

PM me roughly where you were.
