I took this ram this last weekend in the trans pecos are of Texas. We were glassing canyons and he busted out below us. At about 200yds he turned back to look and I i put the 200gr TSX in his chest. He turned to run but balled up after five yards

Nice ram, but only one pic shame

I'm sure the hunt was a lot of fun, and having the animal pop out below you was probably unexpected, making the hunt memorable and a learning experience. Great job. beer

Garrett-

That's a very nice ram. Congrats! beer

It's hard to tell from the photo, but I think what you have is actually a mouflon/corsican cross. Either way, it's a very nice animal!

Were you hunting for a ram at the time, or was he a true bonus?

No, that is not a nice ram, he is a huge ram! He is old. He has broomed off his tips so he can see.

Great sheep. A good pure Mouflon is a beautiful animal. Very, very hard to find 100% mouflon anywhere in the US anymore. Yours is about as pure as they get here in teh US.

Any other pics that are better than this one?

sorry that is the only picture that we got in the field. I'm having a european mount done it should be ready in two weeks. I'll take more photos when I get it back and post them. He was pretty old. It looked as if he had an infected wound on the back of his neck.
